Pascuala (Paz) Shroyer

Pascuala (Paz) was born and raised in Mexico City. She lived there until she moved to the United States after she was married. She was married for twenty-five years, where she was a stay at home mother of four children. Paz recently completed a dual program of Bachelors and Masters at Cairn University, where she earned her Bible and Christian Counseling degree. Paz completed her Counseling internship at Place of Refuge in Philadelphia as a therapist. She gained experience working with loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and couples’ counseling. She also volunteers at ChoiceOne, serving those experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Here she oversees the Spanish community and aids in translating. Paz is involved in her church and oversees a grief ministry there. She also works with 5th and 6th grade children teaching a Sunday School Class.

Paz met her husband in Mexico City and has four sons. Her husband passed away from a brain tumor, and through this she experienced a great amount of grief. This grief has led her to searching for a way to give back and the Lord has led her to this place where she is able to aid other adults who are going through loss. Through her brokenness, and her abuse endured as a child, Paz has found a way to empathize with others and give others hope and comfort that she has received through the Lord.

Paz loves classical music, reading books, walking on the beach and reading God’s word.
