Jonathan Jackson

Jonathan obtained his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Trauma from Rosemont College. He has also completed certifications in Trauma and Mental Health First Aid for children and adults. He has been trained at the advanced level of ETA (Evangelical Teachers Association) and has a passion for teaching Sunday School. Currently, Jonathan is pursuing his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Eastern University, hoping to gain more knowledge and wisdom in the therapeutic setting.

Jonathan was born and raised in North Philadelphia, where he grew up without a father figure. Knowing how hard it is to talk about trauma, he strives to give children/adults a voice through therapy and godly counsel. Counseling is Jonathan’s passion because, as he tells us in his own words, “I desire to see people be made whole by piecing together their lives in a healthy way.”Jonathan has worked extensively with the mental health community and seen how trauma has shaped their lives. He has successfully worked with groups and individuals to uncover and develop coping mechanisms that immediately impact their lives. While working on a Psychiatric unit for four years, he took the opportunity to share God’s love through groups and impart to the members their identity in Christ. Jonathan has been serving the Lord since 2006. During his walk with the Lord, he started as an usher, then transitioned to an ordained Deacon and is currently a Minister. Since 2009, he has also worked with youth and been a part of the Youth Ministry at his local church. Jonathan loves to grow in God and help walk others through difficult times in their life with the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Jonathan loves nature and experiencing God’s creation through hiking and open trails. Above exploring, he is the husband of one wife since 2008 and enjoys growing together with his wife. He also has two incredible children, a boy and a girl.
