August 16–God Wants to Know

David proclaimed it:

I love you, O LORD, my strength. Psalm 18:1

Jesus had to ask Peter three times.

“Do you love me?”

Peter answered, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.

John 21:17

Loving our LORD, really loving our LORD, makes all the difference in everything we do…in every way we do it.

Does my life proclaim my love for my LORD? Or is it just a footnote among many other references and influences for my life?

Does my LORD Jesus know that I love Him? Like I want my husband, children and friends to know that I love them…and make an effort to live in a way that lets them know how much I love them? Do I love Jesus intensely, intentionally and passionately?

Yes, I do…though not at all perfectly by any stretch of the imagination—that perfect love for my LORD will finally, fully be known and expressed when there is absolutely no more sin in my life at all. And that will be in Heaven.

But Yes, I do love my LORD…because He first loved me…and made a difference in everything…in every way in my life.

And our LORD’s love is able to make a difference in everyone’s life…every where. God already loves us. Do we love Him? God wants to know.

In love, peace and purposeful passion,                                                               Sylane
