July 2–Thinking and Thanking!

We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by loved, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

So many people flow in and out of our lives.

Some, even in the briefest encounter, may touch us in profound ways because they act as vessels of God’s love and light, grace and truth.

Others may have been powerful reflections of Christ to us, over the course of many years, by their long-lasting faithfulness, loving service and patient, hope-filled endurance.

Take time to think of these people—even if you can’t quite pull up their names, or even their faces exactly, from your memory bank.

Then, take time to thank God for these people. Lift them in prayer. Be encouraged by them. Be challenged by them.

And, then, ask God to help you to always be ready to touch the lives of others—for a moment or for many years—with God’s love and light, grace and truth.

You’ll be thanking God for these opportunities to bless others—and someone else will be thanking God and blessing His Name because of you!  How beautiful is that!?

In love, peace and purposeful passion,                                                               Sylane
