Our God wants to turn our lives upside down.

When we realize, and choose to live in the truth, that the Lord really is our life – our Creator, our Savior and the Lover of our souls – we will want the Lord to fully lead our lives, sharpen our focus, deepen our passion, give us our purpose and guard our peace!

Oh! But to live in the truth that our Lord Jesus Christ truly is our life will mean that our lives will be turned upside down. We will need to let go of life as we’ve known it. We will need to hold onto all things loosely, except for the One who holds us tightly by His eternal love.

One of the very first things we will need to let go of is the perceived sense of control we have over our lives. It’s a LFTPOH – a Lie From The Pit Of Hell!

The sooner and more fully we grasp that God alone is in control over our lives, over all lives, and over the grand scheme of all eternity, the sooner and more fully we will be set free to live our lives as they were meant to be lived. In the powerful, purposeful and eternally significant way that God intended for us!

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “…whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” – Matthew 16:25

…For the LORD is your life… – Deuteronomy 30:20

Our God wants to turn our lives upside down.

Well, actually, our God wants to turn our lives upside right! And that’s a very good thing!

What needs to be turned upside right in your life?

Your faith journey with Jesus?                                                                                        Your relationship with your family?                                                                                  Your attitudes about pretty much everyone and everything?                                          Your ways of spending your time, energy and resources?                                              Your hidden habits and secret sins?

What are you holding onto so tightly that it’s holding you down from living fully in Christ?

Our God is the One who holds our lives and who is our life.

May we each let our God take us in His arms of love, of grace and of truth – turning us so we will see more clearly the eternal value and worth of our lives from our God’s upright position. Only in losing our lives through following and loving our God will we ever hold onto our lives.

May we each let God turn our lives fully upside right so we will fully fix our eyes on Jesus, who is the resurrection and the life!
