Whenever anyone accepts Jesus Christ as Savior, our Mighty God seals him or her with His Holy Spirit. This precious one is now a newborn baby, a beloved child of our Holy God, of our Eternal Abba. This precious one, this saved soul has been rescued from the dominion of darkness, from the power of death and from the destiny of hell.

All glory and thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ who through His death and resurrection has made a way for everyone who believes to enter into an intimate and eternal relationship with our Holy God!

Still, here on earth we will be in a struggle with our own sin nature, and with the sin nature of others, every day on this side of eternity. But! Our saved souls are no longer held captive by the power and bondage of sin and death. Not anymore. Not in any way. That was the old order. The new has come!

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! – 2 Corinthians 5:17

In Christ there is freedom. There is power. There is renewal and transformation that are fully available to us every moment of every day, in every circumstance and in every season of our lives. Our God is with us. And God’s Spirit is within us.

We have been given the very same power, the very same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead! God is able and passionately wants to empower each of us to live in and reveal, with ever-growing fullness, the new lives we have been given in Jesus!

Who needs to know you as this new child of God?                                                            In what ways do you especially need to let God’s love and power make you new?          Will you trust God’s love to know what old must be gone from your life?                         Will you trust God’s love to know how to bring the new to its fullness in you?                  Will you let God help you today, and in each new day, to live out the truth that our Lord has set you free and made you new?

Let’s embrace this amazing and eternal truth: That in Christ, our God makes us His new creation. And God’s joy is to make each one of us more and more like Jesus. Sin and death could not conquer Jesus. Sin and death are to have no more power over our new life in Him!

May we each allow God’s loving and powerful renewal to be made known fully in and through us – in all that we are and in all we do. Let the old be gone! The new has come!
