January 22–Devoted Love…No Small Thing

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.

Romans 12:10

To be devoted to someone else is no small thing.

Being devoted, truly devoted to someone else, is to choose to have-and continually choose to keep and express-a passionate, sincere, dedicated and faithful commitment to that other person. To be devoted to someone else is an intentional and active choice to love another person—with a caring, kind, supportive, enthusiastic and attentive love.

To be devoted to someone else is no small thing. Jesus knows that. And it is out of His devoted love and commitment to us—His passionate, sincere, dedicated and faithful…intentional and active…caring, kind, supportive, enthusiastic attentive…sacrificial and unfailing beyond our understanding—that we are empowered to devote ourselves in a Jesus kind of brotherly love  to one another in the family of God.

Devoted love is no small thing. It is marvelous, soul-healing, soul-binding, soul-protecting…and absolutely amazing! And it is given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…to give to each other!

In love, peace and purposeful passion,                                                     Sylane
