August 10–Seeing Clearly…Just As Our God Has Promised!

Do you remember this song?

I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin’ day.

Are you singing it? Are you believing it?

In Jesus this bright (bright) bright (bright) SON shinin’ day will be a full reality for everyone of us who has trusted in our God. The prophet Isaiah foretold it. And through His death and resurrection our Lord Jesus makes that day a reality for all His people  for all eternity!

On this mountain the Lord will destroy the shroud that enfolds the peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; He will swallow up death forever.

The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.

In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in Him, and He saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.” Isaiah 25:7-9

On that day there will be great singing and praising of our God…as we enter fully into the eternal—shroud-less—presence of our Holy, Sovereign, Loving LORD!

Psalm 149:1 encourages us to: Sing to the LORD a new song! Here’s one we can get started on now:

I can see clearly now the SHROUD is gone
I can see sin and death are put away
Gone are my tears of shame that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) SON shinin’ day.
It’s gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) SON shinin’ day.

May today and each day be a bright SON shinin’ day for you as you know and trust that our God will bring about that eternal day just as He has promised!

In love, peace and purposeful passion,                                                               Sylane
