The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.
For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45
Whatever we store up in our hearts—whether it is hate or love, bitterness or forgiveness, selfishness or kindness, pride or humility, fear or courage, woundedness or healing—will find a way to be expressed through our mouth…even if we only let that be heard by ourselves.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has powerfully and generously given to us, and offers to store up in our hearts, the fruit of His Holy Spirit: love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
That’s the kind of Storage Talk everyone wants—and needs—to hear from us.
What’s stored up in your heart? What kind of Storage Talk are you speaking to others…and to yourself?
In love, peace and purposeful passion, Sylane
