I hate the idea of judgment. But it is God’s truth. I hate the idea that there are people who are enemies of God, just as I was without Jesus, and that they will perish if they remain God’s enemies. This, too, is God’s truth.

God loves every person He created. God passionately and sacrificially gave His only Son to show us His love. And upon Jesus, God placed His entire righteous and holy judgment and full punishment for sin. For every sin. Ever committed. By everyone. There is no need for any of us to remain as enemies of God. Jesus already perished in our place. In Jesus we, who trust in God’s Way for salvation – we who love God – will rise up with Him like the sun in its strength!

So may all your enemies perish, LORD! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength. – Judges 5:31

Is it time for you to say, “Yes!” to the salvation that is offered freely, fully and eternally through Jesus Christ and through God’s unfailing, unrelenting love for you?

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. – 1 John 4:9-10

If you do not, yet, have this assurance of God’s full forgiveness and eternal salvation, ask God to show you His love and truth revealed through Jesus. Please don’t wait another day. You don’t know if you will have another day. I’m not trying to be melodramatic. And my big signboard proclaiming: “Eternal judgment is at hand!” is out for repainting, so I’m not currently wearing it. However, Christ’s love compels me to tell God’s truth – not mine – of how very much God loves you, every one of you, and that Jesus is God’s Only Way to eternal salvation.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

I am so thankful that Alvin, my brother in Christ, knew that. Because on March 23, 2009 Alvin suddenly died in his driveway on his way to his car. No warning. No preparation. Just gone to this earth. But Alvin’s life is secure! Alvin wasn’t an enemy of God. Years before, he had put his faith in Jesus as Savior and enjoyed an intimate love relationship with his Lord who loves him immeasurably and eternally! In the Son of God, Alvin will rise like the sun in its strength!

Will that be true of you? And if it is, thank our Holy Living Lord! Then, ask yourself: Is there anyone that I love enough to tell them about the grace and truth of Jesus? God’s grace and truth is this: Although there is judgment against God’s enemies, our Lord has loved us by giving His own life for us so that we may become His children and His friends!

I pray that each of you will know the joy of loving God, who loves us so much that He did not spare His Son Jesus and promises that one day we will rise like the sun with His Son!
