LET “THAT DAY” BE TODAY!

“In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will gather the lame;

I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief.

I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away a strong nation.

The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.”

Micah 4:6-8

The Lord sees and knows the full outcome for all of eternity. And it is in God’s almighty power to accomplish and achieve all that He has planned and promised for that day!

…so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

In that day, through God’s conquering, unfailing love and His faithful acts towards His people, our Lord will gather all of us who are weak, hurt, discouraged and dismissed – the lame of body, mind and spirit – and bring us fully to Himself. In Jesus every brokenness, every wound and every weakness we have experienced in this life will be healed. We will be made new.

…by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

In that day, our Lord will draw back to Himself all of His people who have either been captured and carried away as exiles by the evil, prideful and selfish acts of others or by their own evil, prideful and selfish acts. Our God will assemble and redeem all of His people!

In that day, for each of us who has turned away from the Lord and suffered the grief of our sinful choices, the Lord’s compassionate love will not fail us. In that day, for each of us who has repented and turned back to our Holy Lord, we will receive the gift of His mercy and salvation. Through the blood of Jesus, we are reconciled to our God!

…by making peace through Jesus’ blood, shed on the cross.

…he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death

to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation…

Colossians 1:20, 22

In that day, we will be gathered to our Lord as His people. We will be made strong, for all eternity, as the Lord’s remnant, as His nation, as the Body of Christ. In that day, the Lord will rule over us in His holy, perfect love and authority for ever and ever. No more weakness, no more exile, no more grief.

May each of us recognize that our Lord’s full love and power are available to save us, gather us, heal us, strengthen us, renew us and embrace us in His eternal care and rule right now!

Let that day be today for each of us who live as the children of the Lord!

In love, peace and purposeful passion,

Sylane
