In Scripture we see the harsh realities of life. People are overcome by evil – by their own sinful choices or the sinful choices others make against them. People are overcome by the frailty of life, by the hardship of life and by the finality of death.
But not so with God! Our God does not leave His people alone or without hope! Our God rescues and redeems, heals and holds, guards and guides, sets us free and transforms our lives with His unfailing love and unlimited power!
Take time to read these few But God! verses. Let God encourage your heart and lift your head to trust Him more fully with all “the buts” and doubts, fears and pain you have in your life. Because nothing is impossible for God!
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good
to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
But God will never forget the needy;
the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
But God will surely redeem me from the realm of the dead;
he will surely take me to himself.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
But God raised Jesus from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death,
because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
So you are no longer a slave [to sin],
but God’s child; and since you are his child,
God has made you also an heir.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible!”
Hallelujah to our God! All “the buts” and doubts, fears and pain of our lives cannot keep God from transforming our lives with His unfailing love and unlimited power! No buts about it!
